Collecting cause and awareness lapel pins can be rewarding in several ways. Foremost if you’ve purchased a cause or awareness lapel pin, you’ve shown support by funding research for things like cancer research, fighting aids, or finding cures for childhood diseases.
Another way in which collecting awareness lapels can be rewarding is by the uniqueness of most of the pins released in support of a cause. Surely you’ve seen ribbon lapel pins, and there are several other types and styles of lapel pins out there that are created for awareness.
I’ve collected a lot of ribbon pins, and other awareness and cause pins for years. Most of them are very limited runs, and very collectible.
There are also other reasons for ribbon pins, such as patriotism, as shown in the image to the left. It makes me feel good to collect awareness pins because I usually buy them directly from the vendor supporting the cause, which means that I’ve somehow contributed to the cause, and that’s always a good thing!
